This class teaches basic drawing concepts designed for children ages 6-12. Students will learn how to draw animals.

Teacher: Monica Nudd, Began teaching in 2005 after completing her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She enjoys having fun with her students, engaging them in projects, and challenging them to continue learning and serving others. Mrs. Nudd earned a master's degree from the University of Maryland. In addition to her classroom experience, she served as a principal for three years and has also taught at the college level. She is a homeschooling mom of two.
Reading & Writing: a class which teaches basic reading and writing skills designed for children ages 8-11. Students will practice writing, develop phonics-based reading strategies and be encouraged to read daily with support from parents at home. This class is designed for the reluctant reader/writer, who doesn’t yet enjoy reading or writing.
Begins: Wednesdays, January 28, 2:00-3:00pm, once a week for eight weeks.

Develop problem-solving skills and learn the scientific method through a project. One project per family.

Cost: $5 per child, or $10 per family with multiple children. Each child will receive a ribbon: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for those presenting to judges. Participation ribbons for all other projects, who are on display.
How to Start: Every great discovery begins with a question. Start by helping your child focus on a topic that they are already interested in. Does your child really like animals, plants, or the stars? Maybe they love anything mechanical. Reminding your child of what they really enjoy or are curious to learn more about is a great place to start.
